We read everything. Curious, never scolding — that goes for us too.
Include your iOS version and what you were doing when something went sideways. Never send your backup passphrase.
Common questions
I turned the game off — did I lose progress?
No. The switch hides the game layer; your record is untouched. Turn it back on and everything — XP, heroes, quests — is exactly where it was.
How do I back up or move to a new phone?
Settings → Backup → create an encrypted archive with a passphrase. Save it to Files or iCloud Drive. On the new phone, Settings → Backup → Restore. There is no way to open the archive without the passphrase — including for us.
I forgot the guardian PIN. (HydraTask Family)
Guardian mode ships with the HydraTask Family update. The PIN lives only on the device as a hash, so we can't reset it. If you can still get into Settings → Family, you can change it after entering the current one. Otherwise, restoring a backup made before the PIN was set is the only route.
A purchase didn't unlock.
Settings → Seasons & Purchases → Restore Purchases, signed in with the Apple ID that bought it. If it still doesn't appear, email us with the App Store receipt date.
How do I cancel the All Seasons Pass?
iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions → HydraTask → Cancel. Seasons you bought outright stay yours.
Grey mode doesn't do anything.
It needs two Shortcuts you create once, named exactly HydraTask Grey On and HydraTask Grey Off, each with a single "Set Color Filters" action (On / Off). Settings → Family → "How grey mode works" walks through it.
The camera button isn't there.
Proof requires a live camera. On devices without one, the proof screen says so — there's deliberately no photo-library fallback.
Can a guardian approve from their own phone?
No — guardian mode (part of the HydraTask Family update) is single-device by design. Remote approval is something we're considering for later.
